East High Band is a relatively new program that is under the direction of Daniel Wiley with assistance from Cassie Bedford (color guard and basics choreography) and John Richardson (drum line specialist). This year the band took on "Pirates of the Caribbean" and competed for only the second year in their existence. The band is a 3A competing group and went to Regional Qualifiers in mid-October, and made it through to Semi-Finals in early November. They took 10th in the state with a score 49.15.
After a stressful but incredible season a well deserved break will be taken, Coach Bedford will be recruiting for the 2013 Marching Season in early April which will be when Mr. Wiley will be looking for a new show. If you are interested in competing with the Golden Eagle Marching Band see Mr. Wiley in room 40 at East High School or give the instrumental music department a call at 719-423-3914.
